After that we send off the housing and retaining nut, also made in-house, to get Yellow Zinc plated. Once back from plating the assembly team will press in a Custom Teflon lined Stainless Steel spherical bearing. This isn't an off the shelf bearing like most companies use, this is a Custom preloaded bearing made to Steeda's specs. This insures the quietest operation available with minimum deflection and constant pinion angles with high horsepower applications. Once the bearing is installed the Steeda Team retains the bearing with a 360 degree stainless steel spiral lock, much stronger than other companies snap rings that can fail with much less force.
